Guanaja is the most remote of the three major islands in the Bay of Honduras. Just 12 miles east of Roatan by boat or a thirty minute flight from the north coast city of La Ceiba. Guanaja is an unspoiled paradise for people who love adventure and beauty. There are no roads on Guanaja, therefore, your only transportation is by boat. There are many beautiful sights to see and visit. We enjoy sunny days with a tropical breeze, breath taking sunsets and cool evenings.

The many bays are filled with sail boats. There are several resorts here in Guanaja which cater to divers, fishermen and those that just want to relax and enjoy peace and serenity in a beautiful tropical setting. Guanaja has many beautiful dive sites and the waters surrounding Guanaja constitute the only complete marine reserve in the Bay Islands.

There are two new major developments under construction here in Guanaja; one at Bayman Bay and the other at Brick Point. Guanaja’s real estate market is booming as more and more expatriates seek their own little chunk of paradise.
Both English and Spanish are spoken here on the island, but the principal language of Honduras is Spanish.
